Introduction
Two students with common reading interests read a classic story from the English literature and are going to share it with the rest of the class. They are supposed to make a clear and exciting presentation so as to engage the audience.
Learning Objectives
- Introducing famous writers
- Getting to know and sharing classic stories from English literature
- Fostering a taste for tandem reading
- Promoting students' creativity
- Providing moments of interaction and fun
Process
The two students start the lesson by introducing the author. To do it they show a video from youtube about Oscar Wilde’s biography. After that they make a short summary of the story they have read together. To make it more appealing they used a prezzi presentation, including pictures of the most important parts. Finally, they dramatize one of the most important scenes (Virginia talking to the ghost in the library).
