- - Develop cooperative and collaborative skills in students;
- - Exploit and develop students` digital and artistic skills.
Process
1. Using the online resources, students are asked to find out information about the Irish writer Jonathan Swift and put it in a spidergram with Spider Diagram Maker. 2. Teacher asks students to make a poster using Pic collage about what adventure means to them using both suggestive pictures and words/phrases/sentences (group/pair work). Students present the outcomes to the other classmates. 3. Students are given a worksheet with an adapted fragment from the novel `Gulliver`s Travels` by J. Swift, the moment when Gulliver wakes up on an island, in the Lilliputians’ world, and are asked to read it in tandems ( `On the 5th of November…..I could easily free myself`) . Teacher explains difficult words. Some students may act the dialogue. 4. Using Pixton Comic Maker students are asked to imagine and write a dialogue between Gulliver and the inhabitants of the island. Then, students act out their dialogues in front of the others considering also the characters` movements and the expressions on their faces (pair work). 5. Using Story Jumper students are asked to imagine they are in Gulliver’s place and write about their own adventure on the dwarfs` island. Then, students present their stories to the other classmates (group work).
